Programs

Adult programs – part time

  • One to one and small group tutoring
  • Upgrade essential skills to improve job opportunities or to access further training photo of a classroom setting
  • Improve communication skills on the job
  • Improve skills in:
    • Reading
    • Writing
    • Spelling
    • Basic Math
    • Computers

The program is individualized to meet your needs.  Intake is continuous for part-time classes in our Georgetown, Acton and Milton locations.

Essential Skills Computer Training for the Workplace

  • Work with a small group to learn basic computer skills and access online learning.
  • Course content includes:
    • Free skills assessment and orientation
    • Introduction to computers and MS Office applications
    • File Management
    • Introduction to Email
    • Web and employment research
    • Online learning opportunities

Classes are 3 hours per week, daytime or evening for 10 weeks in Acton, Georgetown and Milton.

Sheridan ACE Academic Upgrading & Career Entrance Program

  • Earn college entrance without Grade 12
  • Learn in a college environment
  • Improve academic skills and grades to support future success
  • Improve written communication skills
  • Enhance your workplace essential skills

Based on your goals, you will be able to:

  • Earn Grade 12 equivalency in: Math, English, Biology and/or Chemistry for admission to college  programs – choose only the courses you need
  • Earn an ACE (Academic and Career Entrance) certificate. The ACE certificate is recognized as the equivalent of a high school diploma by Ontario colleges and employers.
  • Prepare for Apprenticeship training

The ACE program is individualized to meet your needs.  Intake is continuous for part-time classes in our Georgetown location.
